This 'Farmer' took me by surprise!

I have not been to the supermarket lately because of so many things on my plate -- filling the house with furniture such as looking for the perfect painting, farming, trying to arrange a larger scale farming, traveling for work, working, trying to keep my two little kids busy and the list goes on. If ever I make a trip to the supermarket, it was just too quick -- in and out -- sticking to the 2-3 items I needed to buy in my list.

But yesterday was a bit different. I had the luxury of time to browse the supermarket, ironically, for work. So there we were, myself & my assistant, looking for beverages of all kinds & brands when I thought of buying some chips for our guests when I chanced upon this:

I didn't notice the manufacturer at first but I was drawn by the name "Farmer John," the crisp-looking rendition of the potato chips on pack, and the premium packaging (the pack look lived up to its name 'Premium Potato Chips')! All I said was "Wow, from Leslie's sosyal ha!" I immediately put it in my grocery cart. I got the Cheese & Sour Cream variant.

I couldn't wait for me to get home so I tried it while I was on the road and, oh, it didn't disappoint me! I am prone to kidney stones so I'm conscious of the saltiness of the food I consume. To my delight, it wasn't too salty and the combination of the cheese and sour cream surprised me. I never thought they could go together. It wasn't that cheesy and it wasn't that sour cream-y! The blend was almost perfect! My niece tried it too. She's a Pringles Sour & Cream loyalist but the combination of the cheese and sour cream took her by surprise too.

As for the price of P46.50, I think it's a little bit expensive considering it's not imported so a little more than P40 (say, P40.50 :P) might be nicer haha!

I was so much in a hurry to try it out I forgot to take photos of the pack and of the shelf. So when I was 'Googling' photos of the product and found its FB page, I was surprised to learn it was in the market as early as February of this year (or maybe earlier?)! I don't watch TV (I'd rather farm!) so maybe it has TVC (saw one on Youtube, though I can't say I liked it!) but I pinched myself for not noticing this in the supermarket earlier! Where have I been hiding?!! (In our farm, you bet!)

Can't wait to try the other three flavours! Now I have a new favorite!
